Charlie Dovey, British Car Trials Championship Winner 2026

From his first local event at 14 to becoming British Car Trials Champion, Charlie Dovey’s rise has been driven by dedication and control behind the wheel. Competing alongside his dad and sister, his experience and determination led him to victory in 2025.

Devizes & District Motor Club: A Friendly Gateway into Grassroots Motorsport

With a proud history stretching back more than 100 years, Devizes & District Motor Club (DDMC) continues to play a key role in grassroots motorsport across Wiltshire and the Southwest. Since its formation in 1924, the club has been dedicated to promoting accessible, enjoyable motorsport while welcoming drivers, volunteers, and enthusiasts of all ages.

Under 17 Motor Club – International Women’s Day

Under 17 Motor Club – Northwest will be running an autosolo/ autotest on Internationals Women’s Day on the 8th of March. The idea came from the club’s Secretary, Hazel, who initially considered putting together a fully female organising team.

Club together – Woolbridge Motor Club

Woolbridge Motor Club is celebrating 65 years of grassroots motorsport, with autotests and car trials at its heart. From summer evening events to winter trials, the Club blends competition with community and a new generation of young drivers is leading the charge. With academy cars and dedicated taster events, it’s never been easier to get involved.

Club Together – Brecon Motor Club

Brecon Motor Club recently held a successful Motor Show in the centre of Brecon, hosted in the Market Hall. The last car show held in the Market Hall took place in 1968, and this inspired the Club to revive the event in 2025. Once again, iconic cars were showcased, and the event proved to be a great success.

Peter Grimes, British Autotest Championship Winner 2025

Peter Grimes started competing in Autotests in his teens and spent the years since learning and developing his skills, becoming a regular contender in the British Autotest Championship. In 2025 Peter was named the British Autotest Champion for the 6th time, 25 years after his previous title!

Disabled Driver Scholarship to Continue in 2026

Created by Loughborough Car Club in partnership with Motorsport UK, the scholarship aims to make the sport more accessible for disabled participants, drawing on the success of the StreetCar initiative – celebrating grassroots motorsport opportunities for all.

Disabled Driver Scholarship Update

Maidstone and Mid-Kent Motor Club hosted an inspiring assessment day for the Disabled Driver Scholarship, where entrants discovered new opportunities in motorsport and two drivers, Gary and Scott, earned a season of supported competition. Their journey across AutoSOLOs, Autotests and trials became a year of rapid improvement, teamwork and unforgettable moments, with both drivers growing in confidence, skill and community spirit as they embraced every challenge.
