Bognor Regis Motor Club

Motorsport doesn’t have to break the bank—just ask Bognor Regis Motor Club, where Autotests offer an exciting, low-cost entry point for aspiring drivers. For just a modest fee, participants can test their skills in a safe, controlled environment, learning precision and car control without the need for high-speed circuits or expensive machinery.

One rising star making the most of this opportunity is motor club member Rebecca Challis, who turns 16 this month. Helped by her Father Joel, Rebecca began her journey in Karting but quickly transitioned to Autotesting to sharpen her handling skills behind the wheel of a full-sized car. The format’s emphasis on agility and accuracy proved ideal for developing her technique.

Her progress has been rapid. Last year and this year, Rebecca entered a number of Sprint events— including none other than the prestigious Bognor Regis Motor Club Sprint at Goodwood in April. Now, she’s taking on the challenge of competing in the Junior Rally Championship in her nimble Toyota Aygo.

Rebecca’s story is a testament to how grassroots motorsport can nurture talent without draining wallets. With clubs like the Bognor Regis Motor Club offering affordable, accessible events and a supportive community, the road to racing success is open to anyone with passion and drive.
