Club Together – Anglia Motor Club

For this month’s Club Together, we highlight one of the founding StreetCar Clubs and the continuous efforts they make to encourage inclusion within grassroots motorsport. Anglia Motor Sport Club (AMSC) signed up as a StreetCar Club right from the very start, when the initiative launched in 2022. 

AMSC are a multi-faceted motor club as they organise a wide range of events throughout the season, including AutoSOLOs, Car Trials, Targas and more. Despite the AMSC team committing the majority of their weekends to grassroots motorsport, they still find time to do more for the community. 

AMSC support on many different projects within the East Anglia area, including supporting the Sporting Car Club of Norfolk with the running of the ‘Women’s Autotest Taster Day’ and the StreetCar Disabled Driver Scholarship. AMSC are constantly on the lookout for exciting initiatives like these to help grow grassroots motorsport. 

The Club’s dedication to the growth of the sport was rewarded in 2022, when they were presented with the Club of the Year award for their innovation in developing ‘Better Together’, an initiative to promote a safe space for all within motorsport. With the formation of Better Together, a code of conduct was produced outlining rules to create an inclusive environment. 

Since forming in 2012, Anglia Motor Sport Club have continued to showcase their dedication to encouraging inclusivity within grassroots motorsport. If you’re based in East Anglia and are looking to get started in motorsport, AMSC can provide the perfect platform to do so.
