For this month’s club together we highlight one of our Scottish StreetCar Clubs in the heart of Fife. Glenrothes Motor Sport Club host a range of affordable events from AutoSOLOs and Navigational Rallies, perfect for your everyday road car.
Glenrothes Motor Sport Club have a busy month ahead with two Autotests and the StreetCar Festival Scotland. Club Chair, Bill Creevy said ‘We are looking forward to an action-packed month ahead and looking forward to welcoming some new people into the club’.
September kicks off with their Andy Wilson Memorial Autotest with entries open to 13-year-olds in the All Forward PCA category, this is a fantastic beginner event. This year’s event will be held at Crail Airfield with the support of Crail Raceway, and they plan to have two tests running at the same time. Entry for the event it £30 and all proceeds from the event will be donated to the British Heart Foundation.
Their Bacon and Brakes Grass Autotest series runs from April to October with their next event on 7 September. This beginner friendly event offers a perfect platform for newcomers to try grassroots motorsport using their everyday road cars. Not only are you welcomed by the club into motorsport, with an entry fee of only £20, this really is an affordable way to begin your motorsport journey.
Finally, Glenrothes Motor Sport Club will finish the month by supporting the StreetCar Festival Scotland at Knockhill Circuit. Running alongside the Time Attack and Racing Hondas, Glenrothes Motor Sport Club will be demonstrating an Autotest at the event. Looking to start your motorsport journey and based in Scotland?
