Electrifying results from event one of the StreetCar British EcoRally

On Saturday 26 April, the first StreetCar British EcoRally event set off from the Scottish Sporting Car Club for the curtain raiser of the StreetCar British EcoRally and produced a superbly executed event.

On a misty Scottish morning, four crews took on Rallye-Donia seeking victory and a £100 discount off their entry to EcoRally Scotland. For most crews, this was their first experience of rallying, and the event provided them with a simple, yet exciting entrance into the sport.

After a thrilling and competitive event, first time competitors and overall winners of Rallye-Donia commented “Iain and I both felt that it absolutely hit the mark for a friendly introduction to the sport, but by no means easy! We reached the end frazzled yet happy, which I think was about the intended outcome!”

Clerk of the Course, Julian May, summed up the event saying, , “Judging by the smiles at the finish venue, the event has been a huge success. We also proved that you don’t need expensive equipment, masses of experience or a specialist car to compete – truly a sport for everyone”

There’s still time to get your name on the entry list for the next StreetCar British EcoRally event, The Peter Pan 12 Car Eco Rally on 9 May starting from the Motorsport UK HQ in Bicester.

The StreetCar British EcoRally can take you from StreetCar event winner to competing at the Bridgestone FIA Eco Rally Cup in just a few months!
