Excitement Builds for Women’s Autotest Event at Lotus on August 24th
Sporting Car Club of Norfolk and Anglia Motor Sport Club are gearing up for a Women’s Autotest Event on August 24th, offering a unique, non-competitive introduction to the world of precision car control. This demonstration taster day promises an exciting experience for women interested in grassroots motorsport.
With an expected attendance of 40 participants, the event provides an excellent opportunity for newcomers to experience the fun of forward only Autotest without the pressure of timed competition. Attendees will also have the chance to ride as passengers with experienced Autotesters, gaining first-hand insights into the intricate skills required for success. They will also be exposed to the essential roles required to run an event such as marshalling and safeguarding.
If you are not sure what a forward only Autotest is, it is a captivating, low-speed challenge that emphasises precise car control. Set on tarmac or grass areas, such as car parks or flat fields, the courses are defined by cones or pylons and typically involve entertaining manoeuvres which puts driver skill before machine.
This event at Lotus promises to be a memorable day filled with learning, fun, and of course, the thrill of motorsport. Whether you’re an enthusiast or a curious beginner, this event offers a welcoming and supportive environment to explore the dynamic world of Autotest.
