We launched StreetCar in June, and over the past few months have been working with our community to help develop and promote the initiative, matching every member with their perfect club and event. From AutoSOLOs to Ginetta – Liona Theobald’s story so far
With a highly competitive field, huge fanbase and pairing with the British Touring Car Championship (BTCC), Ginetta Juniors is often regarded as one of the UK’s most prestigious and competitive race series for young talent. Many promising drivers have entered the grid with the hope of propelling their careers to even greater heights. In fact, current BTCC champion, Tom Ingram claimed multiple Ginetta championships from 2010 – 2013.

Taster at Snetterton with Sporting Car Club of Norfolk
Snetterton is often associated with circuit racing and British Championship series like the British Touring Car Championship. However, we recently attended the circuit for something a bit different than the normal at Snetterton. The venue hosted Sporting Car Club of Norfolk’s (SCCoN) Taster Tarmac Autotest, enabling many their first taste of motorsport. Around 45 competitors arrived on the Saturday to put their car control to the test.

StreetCar in the South West
September was Motorsport Month for the South West of England, with a multitude of competitions, socials, championships and tasters arranged by over 15 Motorsport UK clubs, boasting 24 events and representing 13 disciplines. Two of our StreetCar clubs organised events for this month: Woolbridge Motor Club and Camel Vale Motor Club

Targa Navigations
It wasn’t until we attended the Oxford Motor Club’s Twisted Arms Autotest that we had a chance to sit down with Dick Hall. Dick discovered motorsport at an age later than most, and like most who find themselves in the grassroots motorsport scene, quickly became enthralled with the community, thrill and passion of motorsport.
