On the 6 and 7 June StreetCar Festival travelled to Prescott Hill Climb for the first festival of the year. Building on the success of the inaugural StreetCar Festival, the team will be taking the Festival across the UK to some of the most iconic motorsport venues to showcase the excitement of grassroots motorsport. The first stop of the year, Prescott Hill Climb.

Prescott Hill Climb was the perfect setting to kick off the StreetCar Festival for 2025 as this historic venue, situated amidst the beautiful Gloucestershire countryside, accommodated for everything StreetCar is about. Across the weekend the event facilitated a host of StreetCar disciplines, including Autotest, Rally, and Car Trial, showcasing affordable and accessible motorsport.

Sixty & Worcestershire Motor Club took charge of the AutoSOLO taster event as plenty of newcomers were introduced to StreetCar both taking part in their own road cars or experiencing the thrill of a passenger ride. It’s safe to say there are plenty of new StreetCar enthusiasts after the weekend.

Stroud & District Motor Club utilised their expertise in Car Trialling to show the Hill Climb crowd a form of motorsport that they may not have been familiar to. Spectators were able to watch as both experts and novices negotiated the challenging terrain to complete as much of the course as possible in some treacherous conditions.

A Touring Assembly was also on the agenda for the weekend as 8 novices took part in their very first tour and discovered just how exciting this form of motorsport can be. A range of cars were adorned with a StreetCar Festival rally plate and sent on their way for a 30-mile scenic tour across Cheltenham to finish at Prescott Hill Climb. All five crews successfully reached the finish having thoroughly enjoyed their time on the StreetCar Festival Touring Assembly.

Alongside these exciting motorsport disciplines, StreetCar Festival organised a walking treasure hunt to entertain the whole family with some special StreetCar prizes on offer!
