The StreetCar Festival will be making a pit stop in Northern Ireland at the Kirkistown End of Season Car Race Meeting on 26th September.

This exciting event will showcase the best of grassroots motorsport and demonstrate how you can get involved using your everyday road car. In conjunction with local volunteers from the Thoroughbred Sports Car Club, we’ll also be offering AutoSOLO passenger rides, giving you a front-row seat to experience the action for yourself.

There will be plenty to enjoy throughout the day, from meeting local motor clubs and discovering how to get involved, to watching racing on the Kirkistown Circuit, including the Martin Donnelly Trophy Race, Emerson Fittipaldi Trophy, Mini Coopers and Formula Vee.

AutoSOLO

AutoSOLO is a timed course that tests drivers’ accuracy and precision as they navigate a variety of obstacles and turns. The Thoroughbred Sports Car Club offers attendees the chance to ride in the passenger seat and experience the excitement of the course firsthand.

Compete against the clock

An AutoSOLO or Autotest is a test of your precision and car control, with slalom sections and longer turns. The aim is to complete the course in the correct direction, as quickly and accurately as possible.

Compete against the course

Taking place on private land, Car Trials usually cover challenging terrain in a 2 wheel drive car, with hills, mud, or other obstacles. The aim is to get from the start line to the finish line without stopping. Speeds are low and there is no time limit, but momentum must be maintained in a forward motion in the direction of the course.

Compete against the course 4x4

Cross Country Tyros require drivers to negotiate the set course without hitting a marker and without stopping. A Tyro requires a 4 x 4 vehicle to tackle the testing terrains – though courses are planned to prevent damage to the cars.

Rally together

There are many types of rallying from non-competitive Touring Assemblies to 12 Cars. Put your navigation and collaboration to the test.
