Whilst the heritage of the Club remains, Southern Car Club have embraced change and enjoyed remarkable growth in recent years. Southern Car Club represent the values of StreetCar in everything they do creating a friendly, inclusive, and supportive atmosphere, combining exciting events with a welcoming social community, helping newcomers not only join but also stay engaged. This formula has seen membership rise dramatically over the last couple of years, going from nine new joiners in 2023 to 27 in 2024, and 45 in 2025!

StreetCar Festival Scotland: One month to go…

It’s one month to go until Motorsport UK's StreetCar Festival heads to the iconic Knockhill Circuit on 27 September, with motorsport and activities that the entire family can enjoy.  Our Scottish Festival is the final event in our StreetCar calendar, providing the opportunity for drivers to try out a range of motorsport disciplines behind the wheel of their standard unmodified road car.

Touring into Motorsport

North Wales Car Club hosted the Touring Assembly at the StreetCar Festival Wales, which a fun and affordable way to get into motorsport in your everyday road car. L-time club member Dave V Thomas (DVT) used his experience of running various rallies and navigational runs to put together this tour suitable for newcomers.

StreetCar Festival Anglesey: Sun, smiles and grassroots motorsport on a Sunday

Over 3000 attendees joined Motorsport UK’s StreetCar Festival this past Sunday at Anglesey AutoFest, at the famed Trac Môn circuit. With seven car clubs (Harlech and District Motor Club, Caernarvonshire and Anglesey Motor Club, North Wales Car Club, North Wales Land Rover Club, Rhyl and District Motor Club, Bala and District Motor Club and Liverpool Motor Club) present for the festival, with a Gymkhana, Tyro and Touring Assembly amongst some of the events on offer.

StreetCar triumphant in National Class during ecoRally Scotland 2025

In the National Class, for ecoRally Scotland, it was another podium for the daring duo of James Hoyles and Iain Tuillie representing Ilkley and District Motor Club, defending their title in the ecoRally Scotland event for the second time in their Honda e:Ny1.

From celebrating 111 incredible events to showcasing how to get involved, we hope you enjoyed the 2025 edition of National Motorsport Week. Running from the 10 to the 20 July, the 10-day campaign saw our StreetCar Clubs deliver 30 events and continue to encourage new people into the sport.

Club Together – Knutsford & District Motor Club

In celebration of National Motorsport Week, Knutsford & District Motor Club (KDMC) hosted a free-to-enter Motorsport Taster Day, aimed at encouraging newcomers to try grassroots motorsport using their everyday road cars. The event was a fantastic success, drawing over 32 participants, many of which were experiencing motorsport for the first time. With a friendly atmosphere and plenty of smiling faces, seven attendees even signed up as full club members by the end of the day.
